Will the Fear of the Covid Vaccine Delay the old Normal

Would you agree that we will likely go back to normal sooner if more people take the Covid vaccine? I believe it, but there are people out there who are reluctant to get the shot. I’ve heard explanations as to why some people won’t get vaccinated, and to a point, I understand their fears. Here is my point. As far as I know, the Food and Drug Administration approved the use of these vaccines, the same way that other medications were approved. I will assume that these vaccines are safe, and that reactions to these vaccines depend on individual factors within each of us. I hear commercial ads recommending that we get vaccinated, because even if we have a bad reaction, the reaction is easier to deal with than getting the Coronavirus.
While I know several people who do not want the vaccine, one of my friends takes his objections to another level. He is so desperate to prove that vaccines don’t work that he circulates news articles reporting deaths resulting from the vaccine. I don’t know how you feel about this, but at a time when this country is so anxious to get back to normal, do we want to be constantly reminded of how vaccines can kill us? I’m not going to get into a discussion about why people supposedly died from the vaccine because I am not trained in this field. However, I will say that there is a risk to everything. Just listen to the drug ads on television. Although these drugs are so wonderful, they might kill us. The advertisers relentlessly describe the side effects in many of these ads. They spend more time telling us what’s wrong with the drug than what’s good about it. Perhaps the vaccine is responsible for a few deaths, but I don’t really know that for sure because I’m not a medical expert.
While there is no law forcing everyone to receive the vaccine, I can only encourage people to consider getting it, especially if it means controlling the virus and helping our society get back to a normal way of life. If you are still skeptical, I won’t pursue the matter with you. It is your choice to do as you see fit. I can only hope that all of us do the right thing for ourselves and for society.
